About
Meet Elyssa: Taking Therapy Beyond Walls
Life can be demanding—and at times, overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating a high-pressure career, major life transitions, or the lingering effects of trauma and burnout, it’s easy to slip into survival mode and lose connection with the truest parts of yourself.
Healing begins the moment you give yourself permission to pause, breathe, and come back home to your body. And the truth is: the pause is something we all struggle with. Life rarely offers it freely. Therapy gives you that space—a protected moment to slow down, feel, listen, and reconnect with yourself. From there, everything begins to shift. Whether through meaningful conversation, the grounding presence of nature, or the deep emotional release and integration offered through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), reconnection becomes possible again.
I understand this journey both personally and professionally. It’s the reason I do the work that I do. I want women to thrive, belong, and create. My work is rooted in the belief that every woman has the capacity to move beyond survival—into a grounded body, an empowered heart, and a whole, integrated sense of self. Together, we’ll reconnect you with your purpose and open space for joy—the kind that feels steady, embodied, and real. My integrative approach weaves together therapy, movement, nutrition, nature, somatic practices, and gentle shifts in mindset to support transformation from the inside out.
I hold a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and am certified in yoga, life coaching, nature therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), functional hormone health, and nutrition. My professional background includes work in intensive outpatient programs, family practices, and at One Safe Place—a nonprofit supporting individuals and families healing from trauma. My training includes the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC); Sunstone Yoga with focuses in hot yoga, yin, nidra, and mindfulness; the Somatic Wilderness Therapy Institute in Boulder, Colorado; and the International Association of Functional Hormone Health.
In addition to my clinical work, I facilitate nature-based intensives—immersive outdoor experiences designed to foster clarity, emotional release, and community. I currently operate my private practice under the supervision of Melissa McGee, MA, LPC-S.
If you’re curious about what it might feel like to begin this work together, I invite you to scroll down and read what clients have shared about their experiences. When you’re ready, you’re welcome to contact me to schedule a complimentary consultation. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path back to yourself.
